NEW YORK, NY - FEBRUARY 08: The New York Post with a headline referring to Jeff Bezos is photographed at a convenience store on February 8, 2019 in New York City. Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon is accusing the David J. Pecker, publisher of National Enquirer, the nations leading supermarket tabloid, of extortion and blackmail. Chuck D from Public Enemy once rhymed: “Here’s a letter to the New York Post / Worst piece of paper on the East Coast.” And yeah, he wasn’t wrong.

In anticipation of the one-game Wild Card playoff game between the Yankees and Red Sox at Fenway Park, the Post has published an Opinion piece titled: Boston sucks — and these are all the reasons why. If you want to give them the click, knock yourself out here. Otherwise, I’ve pulled the first few “reasons” and posted them below.

  • Incapable of making a good pizza.
  • Use the word “wicked” to describe everything other than witches.
  • The accent.
  • The people with the accent.

Wait, you’re New Yorkers, and you have the balls to call out the Boston accent? That’s brazen, to say the least. Better skip the rest of that piece and instead spend your time revisiting that wonderful late-June series where the Sox swept the Yankees earlier this season. That’s the energy we need going into this Wild Card game. GO SOX!
