5 Facts You Might Not Know About KoRn

With hit songs including Blind, Falling Away From Me, and Here To Stay, KoRn has sold over more than 35 million records worldwide since forming in 1993.

How much do you really know about the band? Take a look at some fun facts below!

1. The idea of using a backward “R” in the spelling of the band’s name actually came from the logo of toy retailer Toys R Us. Many of the band members had previously worked at the toy store before pursuing a music career.
2. The band has been nominated for 8 Grammy Awards and won 2 awards for their songs “Freak on a Leash” and “Here To Stay.”
3. In 1998, the band sued a school after a student wearing a KoRn shirt was suspended.
4. According to Munky, KoRn spent over $27,000 on alcohol while recording the Follow The Leader album.
5. The band’s 2002 Album Untouchables cost $40 million to produce, according to Fieldy.
