A Michigan woman has been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon after an argument with her mother.
Michigan State Troopers were called to the side of a state highway after an argument over smoking in the car took a turn and became violent. Allegedly Jami Evans stabbed her mother with a 3-inch folding knife when her mom pulled the car over to confront her about smoking a cigarette in the back seat.
The 64-year-old victim was treated for a cut on her forearm at a medical center and Evans is being held in Grand Traverse County Jail.
