With the State of Emergency expiring at 12:01 this morning, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker announced a new COVID-19 vaccine initiative.
The Massachusetts VaxMillions Giveaway program is the Governor's latest push to get as many residents of the Commonwealth vaccinated as possible. The Boston Globe reports:
Under terms of the program...fully vaccinated residents 18 and older will have the opportunity to enter to win one of five $1 million cash prizes. Fully vaccinated residents between ages 12 and 17 can enter for the chance to win one of five $300,000 scholarship grants.
Vaccinated residents in Mass. can enter to win starting on July 1, with weekly drawings beginning on July 26. The Globe has the rest of the story here.
