Metallica‘s All Within My Hands Foundation raised $295,000 last May for COVID-19 relief efforts. This May, they’re looking to raise even more.
Donald Hammond Jr is the President of the Massachusetts Chapter of the Metallica Fan Club. He writes:
“Music is a powerful tool for many including myself. To see it expand from helping people personally to creating a networking community to help others is astounding. Volunteering at the Greater Boston Food Bank has been a very fulfilling and eye opening experience. Children not being able to attend school during the pandemic was difficult on many levels but learning how many kids rely on school breakfast and lunch programs just to eat daily meals was deeply saddening and should be an explosive awakening to an age old problem in not only our country but right in our own communities.”
