Apparently the ex-Nirvana members get together “every once in awhile” and play together like they’re still all in the band together.
This revelation came from current Foo Fighters Dave Grohl and Pat Smear when they appeared on Howard Stern’s radio show to promote the new Foo album Medicine at Midnight. The pair said they’ve jammed with Novoselic as recently as the recording sessions for the most recent album.
This whole situation warms my heart. I think it’s a positive thing that the three get together from time-to-time to keep the spirit of Nirvana alive. Now, do I want them to cut a record? No, I don’t think so. There’s a line, and that would be crossing it, I think. SPIN has more from Grohl and Smear here.
