Toni Cornell marked the 30th anniversary of the Temple of the Dog single "Hunger Strike" yesterday (January 14) by sharing her cover of the song.

Sharing via her own Instagram and via Chris Cornell's social media channels, Toni wrote, "'Hunger Strike' was released 30 years ago today. It’s not only one of the most iconic songs of all time but one of my personal favorites. I recorded it for Music Lives to raise money for covid relief in April 2020 and in tribute to my dad who would have been the first to do everything he could to help."

She concluded, "I love you daddy and I’m so proud of what you created, who you are and everything you believed in. This song represents all of that to me."

Temple of the Dog's lone self-titled album will celebrate its 30th anniversary on April 16. It received a reissue back in 2016.
