On Thursday afternoon, President-elect Joe Biden named a few more nominees for positions in his cabinet. Marty Walsh was one of those names.

The seven-year Mayor of Boston was facing a race later on this year, but now that race is wide open. Walsh will be Biden's nominee for Secretary of Labor, and the Mayor has reportedly already briefed his staff. Boston City Council President Kim Janey is in line to step in as acting mayor if Walsh is confirmed.
