Greta Van Fleet will be one of the musical guests on this week’s new episodes of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The band announced they will be performing on the late-night CBS talk show on December 8.

This is the first high-profile performance from the Michigan-based band since announcing the release of their new album The Battle at Garden's Gate, which is due out on April 16, 2021. So far, GVF has released two singles from their forthcoming second studio album: “My Way, Soon” and “Age of Machine.”

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, singer Josh Kiszka says of the new album, “There are definitely Biblical references. Not just in the title, but throughout the entire album…This is a world with the ancient civilizations in it, just like our own parallel universe, really. It’s an analogy. Each song is a theme. A magnification of different cultures and civilizations inside of this world searching for some kind of salvation or enlightenment.”

The Battle at Garden’s Gate is currently available for pre-save on all major digital platforms here, with physical copies and album merch available at Shop.GretaVanFleet.com.
