Fil Olivieri grew up listening to AC/DC in Italy. To say he's a superfan is an understatement, and his all-consuming fandom ended up leading him right to guitarist Angus Young.

We start in Italy in the late 70's, where Olivieri first heard If You Want Blood, You've Got It. Soon enough, he'd procured a copy of Back In Black on cassette and would listen to it obsessively. The main subject of his obsession? Angus Young's guitar sound.

For years, he'd pan the songs left and right, isolating the guitar tracks, purchasing gear in an effort to replicate Young's sound. He still wasn't able to solve the puzzle. That is, until he came across something in 1984.

That's where the story picks up in this Consequence of Sound interview. Click through to learn the rest of the mystery and to read about Olivieri's dream meeting with Angus Young.
