This SPIN interview with legendary record producer Ted Templeman makes the case that he’s the real “most interesting man in the world.”

The SPIN piece is centered around the new book Ted Templeman: A Platinum Producer’s Life in Music, but it digs into a few stories that didn’t make the tome. For instance, Eddie Van Halen wrote “Spanish Fly” at a New Year’s Eve party at Templeman’s house. And Templeman sang backups on a ton of VH tracks over the years. All in all, the guy has done a ton of producing, playing, and causing trouble with some of rock’s all-time great acts; a real rock legend.

The interview has some great stories, especially if you’re a Van Halen or Aerosmith fan. Read it here.
