Sevendust has released their first new recording since 2018 in the form of a cover of Soundgarden's "The Day I Tried To Live."

When sharing the cover on Facebook, the band said in a brief statement, "We have always looked up to Soundgarden growing up, this song always hit us differently but today, the lyrics take on new meaning."

"The Day I Tried To Live" is from Soundgarden's landmark 1994 album Superunknown.

Sevendust's cover of "The Day I Tried To Live" is available for streaming/download here.

(Sir Paul McCartney inducting Foo Fighters? C'mon now!) She's also well-versed in etiquette and extraordinarily nice. #TransRightsAreHumanRights
