From 1979 through 1982, Dee Dee Ramone played a 1975 Fender Precision bass on stage with the Ramones. Now, it can be yours.

Boston-based auction house RR Auction recently acquired the bass and has put it on the block; it's currently approaching the $20,000 mark, complete with documentation that this was indeed Dee Dee's go-to bass in the early '80s. After he stopped using it on stage, it became his primary bass for recording for the rest of the decade.

Guitar World has the rest of the story, complete with pics of the axe. Click here to take a look.
