Remember Aleka’s Attic? Unless you were an total alt-rock nerd or a River Phoenix super fan, you probably don’t. So get wise.

Aleka’s Attic was an alt-rock band fronted by the actor River Phoenix back in the late ’80s and early ’90s. Phoenix was tight with Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and now Flea has his hands in a project that will see two previously unreleased Aleka’s Attic songs put out in conjunction with what would have been Phoenix’s 50th birthday this August.
