Dave and Chuck the Freak

Weekdays 5:30am-10:30am

It’s been joked about for years that “The Simpsons” cartoon show has predicted things that have actually happened in real life. Everything from the election of President Trump to the Siegfried and Roy tiger attack and even autocorrect on electronic devices.  Now someone dug up a clip from an episode that originally aired in 1993 that bares a striking similarity to some of the events in 2020.

The clip shows Dr. Hibbert telling protesting Springfield citizens that there is no cure he prescribe for a disease besides bed rest.  That bares a striking similarity to some of the circumstances around the coronavirus pandemic.  Then a package gets broken open that releases a swarm of killer bees…kind of like the murder hornets!  You can see it below.

'The Simpsons' came eerily close to predicting the coronavirus and murder hornets

Just add coronavirus and murder hornets to the long list of things The Simpsons predicted. OK, so like most of the famous Simpsons predictions, it isn't exactly a prediction of 2020, but it is pretty damn close.
