While many of us have started resorting to lifting gallon jugs of water to get in some exercise during the coronavirus lockdown, one gym owner had a better plan for his 80 clients.
Drew Whitted told members at Be Strong Gym, in Bloomington, Illinois to come by and pick up pieces of equipment to use at home while the state orders the location to shut its doors.
In just two hours, Whitted said $40,000 worth of barbells, weights, exercise bikes, rowers and mats were borrowed, free of charge.
Whitted told CNN he isn’t too concerned that people won’t return the equipment, feeling they’ll be excited to come train on-site again when possible.
