Bon Jovi News: Hear Charity Single with Prince Harry, JBJ Sings Fan Lyrics to ‘Do What You Can’
Jon Bon Jovi and his collaboration with Prince Harry for The Invictus Games is now available.
Recorded on February 28 at Abbey Road Studios, “Unbroken” features The Invictus Games Choir. The song, itself, is one of Bon Jovi’s newer songs and is featured on the band’s new album, Bon Jovi 2020, and will act as a charity single raising funds for the Invictus Games themselves.
In a recent interview, Jon Bon Jovi said how he reached out to Prince Harry with “Unbroken” as a gift to the Invictus Games, a Paralympics-like event created by Prince Harry where wounded and injured members of the armed services take part in various sporting events. Prince Harry got on board with the idea, and today the song was re-recorded with the royal sitting in on the recording session.
In other Bon Jovi news: JBJ took to social media to sing fan-submitted lyrics for his new song “Do What You Can,” which can be viewed below.
On March 22, Bon Jovi took to the band’s YouTube and shared, “These are uneasy times we’re dealing with, but we’re all in this together. I wrote the first verse and the chorus. Write me a verse. Let’s tell your story.” After that call to action, the Bon Jovi social media channels received over 6,000 verse submissions in two days.
