Chris and Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes brought their Brothers of a Feather acoustic tour to Boston on Wednesday night.

I was lucky enough to get myself and my dad a spot on the guest list for the gig. We walked into a sold-out Brighton Music Hall around 8:15 and the room was packed full of Crowes fans and industry folks, talking loud and drinking beer. The brothers were set to take the stage at 9 p.m., but--in true Robinson fashion--were fashionably late, strolling out at about 9:20.

They were worth the wait, starting strong with stripped-down versions of "Twice As Hard" and "Jealous Again" from Shake Your Money Maker, the album they'll be celebrating with a 30th anniversary tour later this summer. They didn't just stick to that, though. Acoustic arrangements of hits and deep cuts from all over their catalogue were performed, and Chris Robinson's voice sounded as strong as ever.

I'm not big on taking photos at live shows: I'll snap a pic or two at the beginning of the set, then put my phone away so I can actually enjoy the music in the moment. But I did take a couple last night, and you can see them below, along with the full setlist.
