A waitress in Salisbury received a $5,000 tip with a handwritten message that said “Donnie, your move.”

The tip was left by car czar Ernie Boch Jr. and the note was in reference to a recent “2020 tip challenge” started by Donnie Wahlberg, who left a $2,020 tip at an IHOP in January.

Jennifer Navaria was working at the Seaglass Restaurant and first thought the tip was $50.  Then she realized the total amount showed 4 digits and then a decimal point.

According to WCVB-TV, Navaria  said “I hear about this happening to other people and I knew about that challenge, but who would have ever thought it would happen to you?”

Boch left the $5,000 on a check of $157. 56 and told WCVB:  “The waiters and waitresses, they’re such fine people. It really hit me and she was just so outstanding, I said, ‘This is it! This is the 2020 Donnie challenge’  “Who’s making the next move? Who’s it going to be? Who’s going to help us out? It’s got to be more than me — I was more than Donnie — (so) it’s got to be more than me. Let’s keep it going!”

See the check and note below in Jennifer’s Facebook post.
