Let the debate be forever settled.  It’s over.  Big Papi says “Die Hard” is a Christmas movie.

And also, we totally buried the headline, because David Ortiz also wants to give you $100,000 and take you to a Red Sox game.

He’s teamed up with fund-raising site Omaze to raise money for his David Ortiz Children’s FundYou can enter to win once for free or buy 100 chances to win for $10 (more chances if you spend more.)  It’s just one of many cool celebrity experiences Omaze offers to help many great charities.

Now to the “Die Hard” stuff.  To promote the fund-raising drive, he created a funny video re-creating classic Christmas Movies including “Elf,” “Home Alone 1 & 2,”  “Miracle on 34th Street,” “A Christmas Story,” and yes, “Die Hard.”

So there you go.  Let there be peace on Earth.  Big Papi has spoken.  Yipee Ki Yay, MF’ers!

See the video evidence (and Papi’s acting skills) below.
