Police in the Cleveland area stopped a truck for not having tail lights.  Upon making contact with the driver they discovered that he was wanted in Texas for a parole violation.

Further investigation revealed that he had an extensive criminal record and was known as the “silver burglar” due to his hair color.  He had been in and out of prison on various charges related to burglary of homes in upscale neighborhoods in Ohio and Texas.  What really got our attention was his mug shot.

According to Cleveland.com, in the 1970s and, following prison stints, the early 1990s, Gabel broke into homes in Shaker Heights, Gates Mills, and Beachwood, taking valuables silver flatware, furs, and jewelry. The report says that Gabel would leave the home so neat, homeowners sometimes didn't discover they'd been the victim of a burglary for weeks.
