Eddie Vedder joined the Red Hot Chili Peppers on stage over the weekend for a benefit show in Los Angeles where they played two cover songs: Prince‘s “Purple Rain” and Bob Dylan‘s “All Along the Watchtower.”

The Saturday night (November 2) benefit show was for the Silverlake Conservatory of Music, a school that RHCP bassist Flea founded in 2001. The Vedder/RHCP covers begin at 45:13 in the video below.

Before they joined forces on stage, both the Chili Peppers and Vedder performed mini-sets. From the beginning of the video until the 25:32 mark, the RHCP performed eight songs: “Can’t Stop,” “The Zephyr Song,” “Dark Necessities,” “Purple Stain,” “Don’t Forget Me,” “Suck My Kiss,” “Soul to Squeeze” and “By The Way.”

Vedder, meanwhile, performed a seven-song set that included a cover of Tom Petty‘s “Wallflowers,” Jerry Hannan‘s “Society” and Indio‘s “Hard Sun.” He also performed the Pearl Jam songs “Wishlist,” “Can’t Keep,” “Better Man” and “Corduroy.” His set can be viewed from the 25:33 mark through to the 45:12 mark.
