November 1, 1994. Almost one full year after it was recorded, Nirvana‘s MTV Unplugged In New York set was finally given a proper release.
To mark 25 years, the seminal album is receiving it’s first release on vinyl. And while I’d like to wax poetic about how important this album is to me and to the rock canon in general, nothing I could write would even come close to this oral history from The Ringer. It’s a magnificent piece of reading, so dig into that then revisit some of the stand-out moments below.
