The Spirit Tree Estate Cidery in Caledon, Ontario, Canada is serving a new food this weekend . . . DEEP-FRIED MAPLE LEAVES. They took actual maple leaves . . . cured them in salt . . . dipped them in tempura batter . . . and deep fried them.

 

Then they cover them in maple syrup, soy dressing, and peanut praline.
