After President Donald Trump made comments about Bruce Springsteen at a recent campaign rally, Springsteen has responded in a new interview on CBS This Morning.

Springsteen said to Gayle King in the clip below, “It’s frightening, you know? We’re living in a frightening time. The stewardship of the nation has been thrown away to somebody who doesn’t have a clue as to what that means. And unfortunately, we have somebody who I feel doesn’t have a grasp of the deep meaning of what it means to be an American.”

Springsteen gave this interview as part of the promotion of his new film Western Stars, which is in theaters now. The CBS This Morning interview can be seen in its entirety below.
