Weezer and Foo Fighters shared a stage at Rock in Rio over the weekend and had a little fun with each other during their sets.

It all started when Weezer covered Nirvana's "Lithium." Rivers Cuomo set it up thusly: “We’re going to cover a song from Dave Grohl’s old band to tide you over until the main course in a few minutes." You see, Foo Fighters were set to take the stage right after Weezer wrapped up.

Of course, Dave Grohl made mention of the cover and his reaction to it once the Foo were live.

Feel the love.
