1991 Albums

In a roughly-eight-week stretch in 1991, a half-dozen essential rock albums were released. This week's 12 Inch Poll asks you to pick your favorite.

The seeds of this poll took root in our last You Can Only Pick One edition of the 12 Inch Poll, which pitted Pearl Jam's Ten against Nirvana's Nevermind. Those two are back this time around, but with another group of contenders.

Metallica's Black Album. Use Your Illusion I & II from Guns N' Roses. Red Hot Chili Peppers' Blood Sugar Sex Magik. Badmotorfinger by Soundgarden. Along with Ten and Nevermind, these albums helped make 1991 one of the most important years in rock history. And all six albums were released between late July and late September of that year!

So choose your favorite, if you can.
