Hot Yaz on Yaz Action
Good thing the schedule worked out this way. Because we needed something to make watching the Red Sox worth our time.
Sox legend, #8 Carl Yastrzemski returned to Fenway Park to throw out the first pitch before the Sox/Giants game. It was special for him because he threw out the pitch to his grandson, San Francisco left fielder Mike Yastrzemski.
Some local media has been treating the young Yaz like the second coming of a certain deity. We won’t go that far, but he is a young player having a decent season. He’s never played in Fenway before this week, so this was a cool moment. Even the original Yaz looked like he enjoyed it. And usually, all he enjoys is fishing and smoking.
Watch the pitch, smile, and don’t look at the box score. After this pitch, the Sox got pummeled 11-3.
How many days ’til pitchers and catchers report?
