This morning's sports headlines:
To no one's (except Steelers fans) surprise, the Pats beat the Steelers 33-3 at Gillette. It wasn't even close and it was over at halftime. Read more here.
Next up for the Pats are the Miami Dolphins who lost by 49 points to Baltimore yesterday. We'll take the Pats by a hundred.
To everyone's surprise (the timing, not the actual action,) the Red Sox fired President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski right after the Sox' 10-5 loss to the Yankees. Baseball executives Raquel Ferreira, Brian O’Halloran, Eddie Romero, and Zack Scott will run the operations until a permanent replacement is found. More detail here.
Look, we all knew this was coming when Dombrowski didn't get any bullpen help at the trading deadline, but leave it to the Sox to do this in the afterglow of a Pats win. It's the only way anyone will pay any attention to them.
Just wait 'til next year!
