Ten years ago today, Oasis called it quits backstage at the Rock en Seine festival. Last weekend, Foo Fighters called for a reunion from the stage at the Reading and Leeds festival.

It was just another moment in an instant-classic of a set that featured Dave Grohl's daughter Violet joining the band on stage for "My Hero" and the Foo Rickrolling the audience with a guest spot by Rick Astley.

Journalist Will Lavin covered the performance for NME, writing in detail about Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins calling for an Oasis reunion from the stage. Click here for the full report, and check out a pair of Lavin's tweets below, featuring Hawkins' Gallagher brother-adorned bass drum and a video clip of he and Grohl riffing.
