Our list of essential summertime albums continues to grow with the addition of a classic from Boston ska-punks The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

I can’t take credit for this one, though. It was Dave who spoke up when I asked what album I should feature next in Summertime ROCK.

He’s not wrong. That 1-2-3-4 punch is as strong as can be and still stands up 22 years after the album’s release in spring of 1997.  And if you remember that summer, “The Impression That I Get” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Modern Rock chart at the end of June. So the summertime credentials are solid.
