Because you need to throw in some extra goodies if you’re going to make us buy albums we already own.
Due on September 6, The Vinyl Collection 1970-1978 will feature the band’s first eight albums: Black Sabbath, Paranoid, Master of Reality, Vol. 4, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Sabotage, Technical Ecstasy, and Never Say Die! In addition, the set will include a 12-inch compilation entitled Monomania, which will compile their mono singles along with two previously-unreleased mixes.
Oh, and you’ll get a reproduction of the 7″ single “Evil Woman,” backed with “Wicked World.” But you’d better get it right when it comes out: the set is a limited-edition, 3000-copy run, and you know it’ll sell out fast.
