Bourdain wasn’t just a larger than life celebrity chef and travel show host, he achieved rock star status. So naturally, his friends in the music world wanted to come together to celebrate on what would have been his birthday.

Declaring June 25, Bourdain Day, a tribute video was released, featuring Queens Of The Stone Age, Iggy Pop, Pearl Jam, and The Raconteurs Royal Blood, Arctic Monkeys, The Kills and The Strokes also make appearances in the piece, which asks fans to mark the occasion by “exploring, experiencing and celebrating”.

In a letter posted on Twitter, QOTSA frontman Josh Homme shares a story involving his “good friend” admitting, “Tony, I miss you bad.”
