Long-running German rock band Scorpions have returned to the studio are working on new material that could result in a new album as early as next year.

Scorps frontman Klaus Meine recently tipped off that the band got back into the studio a month earlier than was originally scheduled--back in May--citing a sudden surge of creativity. He was quoted as saying: “If someone asked me ‘Is there a chance for a new album,' I would say that this is much larger now than just a few weeks ago."

The last album of all new material from the Scorpions was 2015's Return To Forever. Click here for more.
