Metallica Covers The Stone Roses in Manchester

Earlier this month, Metallica covered Thin Lizzy at their Slaine Castle gig in Ireland. In Manchester, England, they honored another hometown giant.
Watch Rob and Kirk pay homage to Madchester legends The Stone Roses with a live version of “I Wanna Be Adored” from the band’s self-titled debut, which turned 30 earlier this year.
Pro tip: if you’re ever in England and you nip into a pub for a pint and the pub you nip into is full of locals and they’re giving you the stinkeye because you’re a tourist, put “I Wanna Be Adored” on the jukebox. I did exactly this years ago and made fast friends with all the regulars instantly.
