Teen suffering from Rapunzel Syndrome has huge hairball removed from stomach

A 16 year old from Russia that suffers from a medical condition known as ‘Rapunzel Syndrome’ had to have an emergency surgery to remove a large hair ball from her stomach. 

This disorder causes people to ingest their own hair. The girl had been battling this disorder for over 10 years and accumulated half a kilo of hair inside her stomach.   The hairball was so large it took up over 80% of her stomach and would have caused major medical issues.

A 16-year-old had a large clump of hair removed from her stomach after spending a decade chewing her barnet. The Russian teen suffered from Rapunzel syndrome, which sparked an addiction to ingesting her own tresses. After battling this rare disorder for ten years, half a kilo of hair had gathered inside her body.
