A groom-to-be almost an eye after being struck in the face with a glass during an attack at the pub on the night before his wedding.

The injury required 14 stitches and medics warned that he might need to have an eye removed and will definitely have a permanent scar.  The groom-to-be was rushed to the hospital where doctors spent hours picking glass out of his eye.

Luckily the eye didn't need to be removed and the groom still made it to the church on time.
