Many films are premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival, including a documentary short about Van Halen‘s 1984 “Lost Weekend” contest through MTV.

Lost Weekend chronicles the wild ride contest winner Kurt Jefferis and his friend, Tom Winnick, went on partying with Van Halen one fateful weekend in Detroit.

The 14-minute documentary was directed by Bradford Thomason and Brett Whitcomb, best known for the documentary  GLOW: The Story of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling.

Lost Weekend will have four separate screenings during the Tribeca Film Festival, however, there’s no word yet on when the short will be available to the general public.
